Pamela’s New Life

It was one of those hot summer days in Boston Massachusetts; I was lying on the couch watching TV when there was a knock at the door. I started to open the door when I realized what had happened the last time. So I peeped out the peephole and saw that it was Jordan. The door swung open and it was Jordan. I threw my arms around Jordan.

Then this strange guy started to come up the stairs to Donnie’s apartment. Jordan immediately came in and locked the door. Jordan then called 9-1-1 and told them that there was a strange guy at his friends’ apartment. After Jordan had hung up, he hugged me spontaneously. Then Donnie walked in his apartment and said, “What are you doing here?” “I just had a fight with Evelyn and I just decided to drive around just to see where I would end up.” Jordan said. “And you ended up here.” Donnie said, “How could you do this to me?” Then this strange guy walked into Donnie’s apartment and he looked in and saw that Jordan and Donnie were arguing. “May we help you?” said Donnie and Jordan at the same time. “Hold it right there.” this strange guy said as this strange guy held up a little handgun.

Then I sort of slipped out of the room without Donnie or Jordan even knowing. About ten minutes later they realized I was gone. “Where’s Pamela?” Jordan asked. “I don’t know.” snapped Donnie. Then I came out of the bathroom. “There you are.” Donnie said, “Where did you go?” he added.

Then I ran back to the bathroom and Donnie ran after me. He caught up to me, shut the door to my bedroom and said, “What’s wrong?” “It’s that guy again and it’s the same guy that came into my apartment about a year ago.” I had told Donnie. “Oh.” Donnie said, “Is it that guy?”

“Yes.” I told Donnie. Just then Jordan came into my bedroom, sat on my bed and said, “That guy looks awfully familiar.” “I know.” I said, “That’s that same guy that came into my apartment about a year ago.” I added.

“Omg!” said Jordan. Then Jordan whispered that this guy had a gun and that he didn’t know if it was a stolen gun.

Then Donnie walked out of my room and said, “Aw shit!” Then I started to run out of my room and Jordan grabbed me just in time. Jordan peeked out from behind my door and nearly fell from shock! “Aw shit is right.” Jordan said. “What is it?” I said. Jordan said, “Trust me you can wait.” I pushed Jordan out of the way and said, “I’m sorry Jordan, I’ve got to see.” “OMG! I exclaimed, “That strange guy robbed us.” “You could’ve waited.” Jordan said. “Well who in the heck was that guy?” I asked. “Speak for yourself.” said Jordan. “I’m sorry...” I had said. “Hey it’s not your fault.” said Donnie. “He must have followed me here.” I said. “Where is that strange guy?” I had said. “Shhhhh.” Jordan whispered, “You know what happened the last time.” “Sorry.” I had whispered to Jordan.

Then the cops busted through the door and said, “Where is he?” “That guy is gone. He took all of our stuff and took off.” said Jordan. One cop said, “Sorry we couldn’t get here sooner, but...” “...But you were busy.” said Jordan.

Karin and her husband pulled up in their car and almost gasped. “Omg!” Karin and Gerard said. “What happened?” Karin asked. “How the hell should I know?” Gerard said. They got out and walked up the stairs to Donnie and Pamela’s apartment. Pamela peeped out the door. She saw her sister, her husband, and her kid walk up the stairs to her apartment. “Omg!” I blurted out as I was looking out of the door of my apartment. “What?” Donnie said. “You’ll never believe this, but my sister is here with her husband and her kid.” I told Donnie.

“What are you doing here?” I asked Karin. “What happened? It looks like you have gotten robbed.” Karin said. “We did.” I told Karin. “Oh my gosh.” Karin said.

“Come in.” Donnie said. “What if they’re still there?” said Karin. “It’s a he--and it’s just one of them and he’s long gone by now.” I had reassured Karin.

Gerard and Karin walked in and they had said at the same time, “They did take everything.” That strange guy came out of the bathroom and had scared the living hell out of us. This strange guy took off his mask, and it was Joe McIntyre. “You do know that the police are after you.” Donnie told Joe. “Oh my gosh.” said Joe, “I didn’t know I caused that much trouble.” “You scared me.” I had told Joe. “I’m sorry.” he said as he hugged me. “By-the-way, I don’t think I know you.” said Joe.

“Oh this is my girlfriend- Pamela.” Donnie said, “and this is her older sister--Karin.” “Hi.” Joe said as he smiled. “Jordan, I have a question for you.” Karin said. “Sure Karin, what is it?” Jordan asked. “What happened to Evelyn?” asked Karin. “We broke up.” Jordan said, “It was something that Evelyn did.” “What did she do?” I had asked Jordan. “She cheated on me.” Jordan said. “I’m sorry.” I had told Jordan. “So Donnie when did you start going out with Pamela?” Joe asked. “About a year ago.” Donnie said. “Did you really call the police on me?” Joe asked. “Yes, Joe.” I said, “Well actually Jordan did.” I added. “Oh thanks a lot Jordan and you call yourself a friend.” Joe said. “And you call yourself a friend when you scare the hell out of everyone.” Donnie spoke up. “Joe.” I said, “What happened the last time you did this?” “Oh in your apartment about a year ago.” Joe said, “You’re wondering about that. Well I just grabbed the nearest thing I could find to try to scare you guys.” Joe added. “A mask?” Jordan said, “That’s pretty pathetic, Joe.” “Well you did dam good job of it!” I said. “I have a question for you Joe.” I said, “Did you live next door to me?” “Yea.” Joe said, “Before I got hauled off to jail.” “And then you escaped.” I said. “How many times do I have to tell you...” Joe said, “I really am sorry.” “Ok Joe.” I had said, “We believe you.” “We do.” Jordan said, as he doubted Joe’s innocence.

Chapter 2

The next day Joe came over to Donnie’s apartment. When Joe was just outside of Donnie’s apartment, a policeman had stopped him. The policeman told him that he was under arrest and he put handcuffs on him. I opened the door and said, “What’s going on?” The policeman motioned for me to get back in my apartment. Then Donnie walked up to me. “Go back in your apartment.” the policeman told us, “We will take care of it.” “Oh ok.” I had told the policeman. As Donnie and I were walking in, Joe had called out to me. Joe had told me that he wanted to talk to me. Donnie had whispered to me that Joe got arrested three other times. “Don’t believe him.” Joe had told me. I wanted to believe Donnie, but I also wanted to believe Joe. The police started to haul Joe off to jail but then I told them to let him go. “Are you sure?” one policeman asked me. Then Donnie said, “Would you give us a minute?” as Donnie pulled me away from the door. “Ok.” I said, “What did Joe do?” “Well.” Donnie said, “Are you sure you want to know.” I had told Donnie that I wanted to know what Joe did. So Donnie told me that Joe had murdered somebody two years ago. “That is totally not true.” I said. “Yes, it is true.” Donnie told me, “It was in your old apartment.” “Ewwwwww.” I said with a disgusted look on my face.

Then I walked over to Joe. Jordan walked up and said, “Pamela, No!” “Well.” said the policeman, “We’re going to go. Maybe your friends will convince you that he’s a crook.” the policeman said.

“Oh thank you, Pamela.” Joe said. “Pamela, Pamela, Pamela.” said Donnie and Jordan, “What have you done?”

We had all gone into my apartment. “We are not leaving you alone with Joe.” Donnie had said. “What did I do to make you so scared of me?” Joe asked. “You know exactly what you did.” Donnie had told Joe. Joe was just about to kidnap me when Jordan saw what was happening. “Freeze Joe!” Jordan said, “Let her go.” he yelled. Donnie had walked out of the bathroom zipping up his tight jeans and realized what had happened. “Jordan, what happened?” Donnie said. As Jordan was answering Donnie’s question, Joe had kidnapped me. “Aw shit!” Donnie said as he was trying to think of another word to say, “Joe had kidnapped Pamela!” he exclaimed.

Jordan and Donnie took off to find Pamela. They ran into Evelyn along the way. “Jordan, where are you going?” Evelyn asked. “Joe had kidnap Pamela.” Jordan had explained to Evelyn. “Um...Jordan.” Evelyn started to say, “Who is Pamela?” “She’s just a pretty cute young lady that just moved here and she’s my girlfriend.” Donnie spoke up, “And if we don’t go find her, I could lose her forever. come on let’s go.” “Ok.” Jordan said, “Lets split up and find her.”

Jordan and Evelyn went one way and Donnie went the other way. They all met at this one isolated apartment which no one has lived in for years. Then they all heard me saying, “Joe, let me go.” Donnie went to see what was wrong and then Donnie heard Joe saying, “No! I won’t let you go. I love you.” “Awww that’s so sweet.” I broke down into tears of happiness. “Tell me what your thinking, Pamela.” Joe said. “Never mind.” I had told Joe. “No, tell me.” yelled Joe. “Joe, you didn’t have to yell at me, I’ve got ears.” I laughed, “I don’t have to tell you anything, Donnie and Jordan are in fact looking for me.” I said. “Shut up, Pamela!” Joe yelled. Then suddenly I began to laugh. “What is so dam funny?” Joe asked. “I was just thinking that no body ever told me to shut up.” I had told him. Then Joe moved closer to me and tried to kiss me, but I moved away from him. Joe then put an arm around me.

Then Donnie and Jordan walked up. “Pamela--I was so worried I’d never see you again.” Donnie told me as he hugged and kissed me. “What did Joe do to you?” Jordan said. “Nothing.” I smiled, “He just loved me.” “Joe is a sweet, cute guy. I was talking to him and having a great time.” “Are you ok?” Jordan asked me. “Yes.” I told Jordan.

Gerard and Karin were knocking on my door. Then they figured that we weren’t home. They started to walk downstairs and they met up with us at the bottom of the stairs. “What happened?” Gerard asked. “Joe had kidnapped Pamela.” Donnie said, “....And Jordan let it happen.” “Hey, don’t blame this on me!” Jordan exclaimed. Then Evelyn walked up. She said, “Hi Jordan. Hi. Pamela, are you ok?” “Yes, I’m ok.” I told Evelyn.

Then they noticed that Pamela was missing again. “Hey--where is Pamela.” Jordan said, “She’s missing.” “And so is Donnie.” Jordan added.

“I’ll go find them.” Jordan said. “Me too.” said Karin. “No I’ll go find her and Donnie.” said Jordan. “You’ve had a crush on her since she moved here.” Joe said walking up. Then Evelyn started to walk away. She looked sad and she felt like crying but she tried to hold back her tears. “Joe, see what you did.” Jordan said, “Now I’m gonna lose Evelyn for good!” Jordan yelled. “And I care because...” Joe said sarcastically. “I wouldn’t be saying that Joe, because you just lost Nina.” Jordan said. “Correction-- Jordan, we both decided to breakup and see other people.” Joe said almost yelling.

“Look, I don’t have time to argue with you.” Jordan said, “I have to find Evelyn and make up with her.” “Bye.” Jordan said.

“Evelyn, Evelyn!” exclaimed Jordan. He tried to get her attention. “Wait up, Evelyn.” he called to her. “No Jordan, leave me alone and don’t follow me.” Evelyn yelled. Gerard and Karin ran over to Jordan. Evelyn had already ran the other direction away from them. Jordan looked sad and he said he felt lonely. “Oh let her go.” said Gerard. “You don’t need her.” Karin said, “You’ll find someone else that will care about you.” “Are you sure your going to be ok?” Karin asked Jordan. “Yeah, I’ll be fine.” Jordan said as he walked up the stairs to Donnie’s apartment and knocked on the door. He heard someone yell, “Go away.” “Evelyn--Its me Jordan.” he said, “Open the door.” Somebody opened the door but it wasn’t Evelyn. “I thought Evelyn was in there.” Jordan said. “Nope.” Donnie said, “Did something happen between you two?” “I don’t want to talk about it, Donnie.” Jordan said. “I’ve heard of on and off again relationships but you two are like fire and ice.” Donnie joked. “Very funny.” Jordan said as he laughed. “You want to come in?” Donnie asked Jordan. “Sure.” Jordan said as he walked in and shut the door to Donnie’s apartment. “Hi Jordan.” I said. “Hey--what happened to you two?” Jordan asked. “I’m sorry we got separated.” said Donnie. “We just wanted to be alone.” Donnie and Pamela said at the same time. “Ok speak.” Donnie said as he grabbed Jordan by his shirt up near his neck. “No Donnie.” Jordan said, “It’s not that simple.” he added.

“Donnie-- could you loosen up? I’m loosing vision in my right eye.” Jordan said. Then I smiled. “Why are you smiling?” Jordan asked. “Nothing.” I said, “I’m just smiling.” I added. Donnie had loosened his grip on Jordan’s shirt, he turned to me and he looked sincere. He asked me if I was sure. Before I could answer, someone knocked on the door. “I’ll get that.” Jordan said as he went to the door. Jordan opened the door and almost gasped. “What the heck are you doing here?” Jordan asked. “Who is it?” Donnie asked as he was running to the door. “Aw shit!” Donnie exclaimed. I ran to Donnie and asked if it was Joe again. Donnie said that it wasn’t. “I wish you would just leave.” Donnie said, “Or I’m getting the cops on your butt!” “It’s not Joe.” Jordan whispered to me. “Ya know it’s very rude to whisper in front of company.” said this guy who was wearing a dark pair of sunglasses. “It’s Manuel!” I shrieked. “Come on Pamela, come with me.” Manuel said.

“Hell no!” I told Manuel. Then Mark came up the stairs to Donnie’s apartment and asked what all the fighting was about. “Why don’t you guys just call it a truce?” Mark said, “Because everybody is opening their doors and staring at us.” “Ok Jordan. I’m sorry for yelling at you and for thinking you were hitting on my girlfriend.” Donnie said. “Ok, Ok. Apology excepted.” Jordan said, “and I do not have a crush on your girlfriend. I love Evelyn and if you can’t accept that, just don’t talk to me.” Then I whispered to Jordan that Joe had a crush on me. “Omg!” Jordan said, “Just don’t tell Donnie.”

“Don’t tell me what?” Donnie said. “Oh nothing.” I said to Donnie, “It was something about Evelyn.” “Oh ok.” Donnie said, “I’m sorry.” Then Donnie, Jordan and I started laughing.
